The Asbury Hotel's "Artist Spotlight" series launched as the flagship content initiative for Salt Hotels' debut YouTube channel, "Our Asbury", created by me in collaboration with my marketing manager.
I took the lead in conceptualizing, filming, editing, and art-directing this series, designed to authentically capture the vibrant essence of Asbury Park's legendary local music scene. Featuring live performances by local artists during the hotel’s Wednesday night events, the series generated significant buzz, drawing larger crowds to the lobby and giving future guests an immersive glimpse into the hotel's unique energy. This project seamlessly combined storytelling with visual artistry, celebrating local talent while elevating The Asbury Hotel’s cultural and creative identity.

Following the success and strategic impact of the "Our Asbury" content series, the chief creative officer and co-founder of Salt Hotels, Kevin O'Shea, recognized the potential to expand this content style to two additional properties in Provincetown, Massachusetts. Given his appreciation for my artistic vision and direction, I was entrusted with full creative control in conceptualizing, filming, editing, and art directing each video for the new "Our Ptown" series.
To maintain consistency with the "Our Asbury" brand, I infused each video with a classic, historic, and welcoming aesthetic, aligning with Provincetown's rich cultural history and its vibrant LGBTQ+ community. This series aimed to raise awareness and celebrate the unique businesses that contribute to the town’s creativity and originality, while honoring the spirit of Provincetown. In particular, this documentary-style video focused on the talented artists behind each painting at the Eben House hotel, offering guests an insightful preview into the extraordinary experience awaiting them. It was truly an honor to showcase the beauty, diversity, and creativity of Provincetown, offering future guests a glimpse into this exceptional destination.
In creating "Our Ptown", we decided to test the content on IGTV (if you know IGTV you know social), tailoring these videos specifically for the platform in 2019 and thus VERTICAL VIDEO WAS BORN!
One standout piece in the series is a documentary focused on the Provincetown Art Association and Museum, a location chosen based on the interests of guests staying at the Eben House Hotel. This strategic decision, developed in collaboration with the Marketing Director, aimed to raise awareness of the town’s vibrant cultural scene, highlighting the unique museums and tourist attractions visitors can explore when vacationing with Salt Hotels in Provincetown, MA.
I conceptualized, filmed, edited, and art-directed this series, ensuring each video authentically represented the charm and artistic spirit of Provincetown. The goal was to offer viewers a compelling glimpse into the local culture, encouraging them to discover the town’s artistic treasures and experience its rich history firsthand.
One notable video in the series is a documentary about the Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum, chosen for its significance as a major tourist attraction and historical landmark in Provincetown, MA, and the United States. The decision to feature this location was based on the interests of guests staying at the Eben House Hotel, as well as its prominence in the town’s cultural landscape. This strategy was developed in collaboration with the Marketing Director to raise awareness of the incredible museums and attractions available to those visiting Provincetown through Salt Hotels.
