As an Art Director on the Google team, I played a key role in shaping how Google, Google Search, Google Maps, and Google Arts & Culture connected with Gen Z. Through captivating social content, I helped make Google’s products more relatable and engaging for younger audiences. My work drove major engagement, including one of Google’s top-performing Instagram posts, which garnered 3 million views. From memes and tweets to interactive posts, I crafted a diverse range of content designed to amplify Google’s social presence and make app updates feel exciting, accessible, and relevant to Gen Z.

I collaborated with high-profile partners like Mean Girls, Stray Kids, House of the Dragon, McLaren, Billie Eilish and more. Highlights include filming content series at the Google Street View garage for the launch of Gemini AI on Google Maps and art-directing the promotion of Billie Eilish's collaboration with Google Maps. Both projects earned exceptional client praise, showcasing my ability to adapt to trends and blend pop culture with technology to create engaging, impactful content.

Google Maps partnered with Billie Eilish to highlight plant-based eateries near each venue on her Hit Me Hard and Soft tour, making it easy for fans to discover vegan-friendly spots along the way. I had the honor of leading the Art Direction for this project, spearheading the visuals for the promotional video. I created a dynamic text treatment that followed the voiceover, transforming an instructional video into a fun and engaging experience.

Alongside the video, we designed an Instagram carousel with quick, digestible visuals that guided users through the new feature as they swiped through each frame. Working closely with both Google Maps and Billie Eilish’s team, we moved fast to launch everything in time for the tour’s kickoff—earning sincere client praise. I was personally recognized for my ability to turn around high-quality visuals quickly and strategically align the content with the Google Maps brand, Billie Eilish, and Gen Z.

In October 2024, Google Maps launched Gemini AI capabilities on its platform, marking a new era for navigation. I had the honor of being personally invited to the Google Maps Street View garage to create content celebrating this milestone.

Working around the clock, we captured the speaker launch and produced a dynamic, engaging announcement video for social. Additionally, we created a ‘Day in the Life’ video following a Googler attending the event, along with a playful ASMR mini-series featuring the Street View cameras set up around the garage.

This project earned high client praise, as we went above and beyond to showcase our passion and attention to detail while creating on-location content.

I had the exciting task of creating content around key Easter eggs that Google was adding to its search engine to celebrate major launches and announcements. As the lead Art Director on these Easter egg videos, our goal was to visually align with the brand or partner we were promoting while integrating the search bar to tease the phrase users should type to discover the hidden surprise.

One particularly successful Easter egg teaser was for the K-pop group Stray Kids. Drawing inspiration from their new album’s visuals—which prominently featured CDs—we crafted a teaser that overlaid a Google search bar on a spinning CD. The text ominously typed ‘Stray Kids,’ leaving viewers with no choice but to head to Google and uncover the Easter egg for themselves. This video gained 3 million views on the Google instagram channel ranking in as one of Googles highest viewed videos and the highest viewed video delivered by my team to the client.

2024 was truly the year of AI, and I had the privilege of being at the forefront of these groundbreaking launches while working on the Google Brand. One of the biggest announcements was the integration of Google’s Gemini AI into their search engine, bringing a new era of search capabilities.

With this launch, my task was to create content that resonated with younger audiences, helping them navigate this new world of AI-powered search. By tapping into prominent dates like Pi Day, Thanksgiving, and National Puppy Day, I developed fun, educational content showcasing how Google Search AI could make these moments easier and more enjoyable. From providing clever tips for Thanksgiving leftovers to suggesting the perfect dog breeds, I created humorous, edutainment-style videos that built brand love and showed the practical benefits of AI.

Additionally, I designed an Instagram carousel for the Olympics, highlighting how Google Search integrated Olympic-specific UI into the search bar, allowing users to stay on top of all the exciting details throughout the event.

Google Arts & Culture is one of the most captivating aspects of what Google offers, serving as a vast database of history and art. I was fortunate to contribute to telling its story and helping spread the word about the incredible resources available on the Google Arts & Culture app and website.

When Google Arts & Culture launched its TikTok page, they sought to create engaging, edutainment-style content to highlight the wealth of articles and insights available on their platform. I played a key role in crafting videos that capitalized on tentpole moments like the Women’s World Cup, as well as popular trends like food culture and video games. Through talking-head-style videos, I wrote and created content designed to build brand love and raise awareness of Google Arts & Culture, making the platform’s educational resources more accessible and fun for a wider audience.
